As The Deer

My sister and I each learned to play the hymn "As The Deer" recently. We've been practicing it and played together for special music at our church as well as a holiday recital (with our music teacher/students). These two events were last Sunday.
This is only the second time we played a piece of music together together in front of other people.

My mom recorded it on her camera, here it is! (Sorry about the shaking near the end. My little sister bumped into her.)

Here are the lyrics for the song:
As The Deer:

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after thee
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee

Chorus You alone are my strength my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee

You're my friend and You are my brother,
Even though you are a king.
I love you more than any other,
So much more than anything.

I want You more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy Giver,
And the apple of my eye.

  1. Hi! You did great! I like that song... Might I ask, Who arranged it? God bless, "Shylock" :)

  2. Hi Shylock! :)
Thanks! As the Deer is by Martin Nystrom. The arrangement is by Ellen Banks Elwell.
I was really impressed with your arrangement & playing of O Come O Come Emmanuel.
