In light of today's
horrible tragedy (the elementary school shooting in CT), while many grieve & others ask questions about better gun
control, I think that it is time that we as a country thought about some other
factors that I believe have contributed more to the recent violence than gun
ownership.
In 1962/63, The Bible &
prayer was removed from public schools.
With it began a movement to
deny a supreme Creator (the authority to whom we will ultimately answer).
In 1973 we legalized
abortion, effectively saying that certain lives were not valuable, do not
matter & are less than human. Many push to that it's OK to kill babies in
the womb. (Then shouldn't it be OK to kill children in the school?) L
Evolution is taught in
public schools and polluting most science books we read, saying we came from
nothing & are here by accident, for no purpose.
Lenient criminal sentences
& doing away with capital punishment shows wrong-doers that there are no
real consequences for their actions. While violent video games have glorified
killing with no consequences, as well.
A big theme is that there
are no losers, that everyone wins. So when life brings trials and failure,
people can't handle it
We have removed the 10
commandments because “they” want separation of church & state.
We have made truth &
morals relative to “what's right for me may not be right for you”. There are no moral absolutes.
As a nation, we can't do
& teach all these things and expect a different outcome than what has sadly
happened today.
Don’t blame guns- Blame the
moral decay of our United States of America. Liberal ideas get pushed down
people’s throats, polluting lives, and trying to persuade people that there is
no God, and no real reason to live, do good, or glorify our Creator.
America please turn back to
God!
The United States of
America no longer blesses God, so why should God Bless America!?
This was put together from many thoughts people shared throughout the day.
